February 13, 2014 minutes amended.

Names redacted in favor of whole committee actions.

Amended Minutes of February 13, 2014 approved.

Regarding the previous UCAG meeting’s actions:

A motion was brought at Faculty Senate to add someone to the slate UCAG submitted for the Steering Committee. That motion passed unanimously.

UCAG will look at removing ambiguity from University Bylaws concerning this process next year. Specifically, we should clarify the meaning of endorsement and/or the power of the senate to change the slate. Noel and Crimp were ultimately elected.

The committee thanked M. Chavez representing their position to the Faculty Senate.

College of Communication Arts and Sciences Bylaws were reviewed and recommendations were made.

A motion was approved to submit the recommendations.

There was a discussion regarding the importance of governance as well as faculty and student recruitment to governance.

Meeting adjourned at 4:36 PM.

Respectfully submitted,

Dan Clark
