Item 2122-32: Reinstituting Satisfactory/Not Satisfactory Grading

UCSA discussed the issue at its November 12, 2021 meeting. On December 6, 2021, the committee voted virtually to send a letter to the University Committee on Undergraduate Education requesting that UCUE consider reinstating Satisfactory/Not Satisfactory grading. Secretary for Academic Governance Tyler Silvestri sent the letter to UCUE on December 8, 2021. UCUE responded on December 9; the response said that a straw poll of UCUE members indicated that there is interest in reinstituting S/NS grading and the committee will discuss the issue during Spring Semester 2022.
